Artist Statement: Surojana Setabutra

Duplication of the way natural materials being used for utensil, domestic and farming purposes around the farm to form a new kind of activity those same materials can be used  in another context as the “Local Kiln"

The workshop experience marks my turning point to realize how living in harmony with natural materials and surroundings is crucial as parts of one’s life, and gives way to a new journey as an artist for ”Everyday Life Pottery”

เรียนรู้การนำวัสดุจากธรรมชาติมาใช้งานสร้างที่อยู่อาศัย ทำเครื่องมือ เครื่องใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน  และค้นหาแนวทางใหม่ในการใช้วัสดุเหล่านั้นโดยการสร้าง “เตาพื้นบ้าน“

ประสพการณ์ในชนบททำให้มองเห็นถึงความสำคัญของวัสดุและสภาพแวดล้อมที่เป็นธรรมชาติต่อคุณภาพชีวิต  จึงเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของการเดินทางสู่การทำงาน “ศิลปะ เพื่อชีวิตประจำวัน”
